China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Economic and Trade Delegation's Visit to Uzbekistan: Focusing on Railway Hubs and Industrial Cooperation to Deepen Belt and Road Partnership
On July 31, 2025, under the leadership of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, the Belt and Road Economic and Trade Cooperation Alliance and the Guangzhou Modern Information Service Industry Association served as organizers.
Accompanied by leaders from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce and representatives from the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Economic and Trade Delegation, our association's president, Chen Jianxin, conducted a strategic inspection of key railway hubs in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan. He also held meetings and exchanges with the Uzbekistan Federation of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
Through in-depth research into its operational systems and hub layout, the delegation engaged in high-level discussions with management on strategic topics such as cross-border railway coordination and regional logistics network optimization, systematically assessing the Central Asian railway transportation landscape and cooperation potential. As a vital node in the Central Asian railway network, this station serves as a core hub for regional passenger and freight transportation, connecting the Eurasian logistics corridor. This inspection not only deepened understanding of Central Asia's transportation arteries but also laid a crucial foundation for enhancing the efficient linkage between the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway and regional rail networks, as well as improving the quality and efficiency of China-Europe freight train routes. The Association continues to serve as a bridge and link, driving the in-depth development of the Belt and Road cross-border transportation network through pragmatic actions.
Chen Jianxin, President of the Association, accompanied leaders from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce and representatives from the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Economic and Trade Delegation to visit the Ministry of Railways of Uzbekistan for high-level talks. Senior officials from various Uzbek government departments met with the delegation to advance project implementation at the highest level, jointly charting a new landscape for cross-border railway cooperation.
During the meeting, Uzbekistan systematically presented the operational overview of China-Europe freight trains in the country and its railway network development plans. Both sides engaged in in-depth consultations on core issues including enhancing the quality and efficiency of freight trains, coordinated construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, and regional railway network connectivity. Driven by highly aligned cooperative visions, the discussions proceeded efficiently and smoothly, resulting in multiple consensus points on key cooperation pathways.
This meeting demonstrated the association's commitment to high-level coordination for precise resource matching, underscoring the strategic resolve for China-Uzbekistan railway cooperation. It injects momentum into cross-regional transportation upgrades under the Belt and Road Initiative and supports the China-Europe Railway Express in expanding its market reach.
That afternoon, Association President Chen Jianxin accompanied leaders from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce and representatives from the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan economic and trade delegation to meet with the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Jonibek, Vice Chairman of the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, hosted the entire meeting, during which both sides held productive discussions on industrial cooperation and resource alignment.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted two core cooperation directions: first, presenting GAC Group's official business authorization and outlining its strategic plans for the Central Asian market; second, promoting Guangxin Group and Yangcheng Pharmaceutical's international medical projects to showcase Guangdong's industrial strengths in automotive manufacturing and healthcare. The Uzbek side expressed strong approval for both initiatives, with enthusiastic on-site responses.
Leveraging these high-quality project matchings, enterprises from both sides rapidly aligned supply and demand, accelerating the formation of multiple preliminary cooperation intentions. The Association and the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry reached a consensus on establishing a long-term cooperation mechanism. It was confirmed that Guangzhou Modern Information Service Industry Association will dispatch a representative to Uzbekistan to lead the formal signing ceremony, institutionalizing cooperation to facilitate the implementation of projects such as GAC and international healthcare. The Association will continue to serve as a bridge and link, empowering the international competitiveness of various industries, and further demonstrating the tangible outcomes of practical cooperation as a vivid testament to industrial connectivity under the Belt and Road Initiative.
